Music In The Classroom

Iníon Uí Choileán's music class had their end of year concert yesterday. A fantastic celebration of music in recognition of the boys hard work over the year.

6th Class Surfing

6th Class had a wintery, windy, wild, wet day in Ballybunion learning how to surf. They decided to use the profit from the Young Entrepreneur Competition on surfing lessons. Wet suits and balance were the order of the day. Whilst some might think the winter was still here, Mrs. Costello, Mr. Mac Síthigh and the boys had a day to remember.

Lee Strand Visit

Iníon Uí Choileán's 2nd & 3rd class won a trip to the Lee Strand factory factory today. They got to see the production floor, the impressive conveyor belt transport system and more importantly got to taste the finished product. A fantastic day had by all. Lee Strand milk is a big favourite in our school!

Story Telling In The Big Top

All the school got to visit the big top on Friday where the Writers Week committee had arranged a treat. Authors John Connolly and Joe Craig spoke about writing, they're own books and read aloud to the audience. A lot of our boys got a chance to ask questions.Whilst eating our lunch we were entertained by Fossetts Circus!

Author Judi Curtin Visit

We were honoured to have renowned author Ms. Judi Curtin read to us today, as part of Writers Week. Mr. Guiney's 4th and Iníon Uí Choileán's 2nd & 3rd were enthralled in the stories. The Library was a very apt setting for this special visit.

Music in the Classroom

In the Jungle, Quartets, Rock & Roll and 'What a Wonderful World' were just a flavour of a musical display presented by the junior classes.

Vintage Day May 2011

Sometimes it can be hard to understand life before our mobile phone so our vintage day helped our boys understand life long ago a bit easier. Both staff and pupils were intrigued by all the items on display. Thank you to all our friends who brought their valuables for display.
