Spring Cleaning 2011

Every class took part in the spring cleaning, with everyone playing their part in keeping our school clean!!

MS Readathon 2010-2011

Well done to Iníon Uí Choileáin and the senior classes for raising €1689.50 by reading alone. MS Ireland were very appreciative for all our efforts.

Junior Entrepreneur 2011

Our 6th Class with guidance from Mr. Mac Síthigh and Mrs Costello, had a hectic week designing, producing, marketing, selling and presenting their project for the Young Entrepreneur Programme. They made a variety of pencil holders rocket pots, croc pots and animal pots which were a huge hit with the boys in the school. Dragons Den watch out!!

Shared Reading For All Classes

Every day, every boy is reading aloud with his new reading buddy for 15 minutes. The older boys of the school are partnered up with the boys in the younger classes. We aim to improve the reading skills, fluency and most importanly the confidence of the children to read aloud uninterupted for 15 minutes.

Creating a Garden

Mrs. Mahony's 1st & 2nd class were very busy in the garden last week. They planted spring onions and peas, with careful consideration of the daffodils still on display. All the classes will be out over the next few weeks with a variety of vegetables on the menu, so watch this space!
