Round Tower Visit

To understand life in Viking times better Mr. Guiney's 4th Class and Iníon Uí Choileán's 3rd Class took to a trip to the local round tower in Ballyduff. The boys came away with a better understanding of life long ago.

MS READaTHON 2010 - SENIOR CLASSES

Some of Iníon Uí Choileáin 3rd class are taking up the challenge of reading as many books as they can from the 15th of October to the 15th of November to raise funds for people with multiple sclerosis. The MS READaTHON is a sponsored read for young people which encourages children to read.

2nd & 3rd Class School Tour 2010

On June 21st Mrs. Mahony's 2nd Class and Ms. O' Connor's 3rd Class went to Mallow, Co. Cork for the Lets Go Summer Camp. The boys had an action packed day with the eliminator, wrecking ball, La Crosse, karting, bungee jumping, wobbly ladder and zorbe ball to mention just a few. A great day had by all.

Third Class Get to Work as Firemen.

The Listowel Fire Brigade spent an afternoon with Ms O' Connor's third class boys recently. Fire safety in the home was the message the busy firemen wanted to talk to the boys about. The importance of fire extinguishers, fire blankets and smoke detectors in homes was spoken in detail by the firemen.

The afternoon finished nicely with the boys taking control of the fire hose.
